blog.gilachess.com — Back to back tournaments! I wonder how these Grandmasters have the stamina to go on like this. Being young and fit is definitely and advantage. Torre did not have the former factor so his win is definitely amazing. Probably another good incentive is the cash prize! 4th Pichay Cup prizes 1st US$ 5,000 2nd US$ [...] read more...

chessbase.com — Anand vs Topalov was a Caro-Kann, with unambitious play by the World Champion, who seemed satisfied with a draw-and-nothing-more. Radjabov vs Carlsen was a tough fight that ended in a 53-move draw. Ivanchuk vs Aronian saw the Ukrainian achieve a winning position and then spoil it to a draw in time trouble. chessbase.de — Die heutige vorletzte Runde des "Grand Slam"-Finales in Bilbao brachte keine Veränderungen des Status Quo.
